The ri Ram Centre wa ponored  a private
trut activie in promoting dance, drama and muic.
The 0.25ha ite i in the heart of New Delhi,
adjcant to other cultural intitute. The client'
need were extenive conidering the mal ite
avilale. Thi proivided an opportunit to expre
individual function at different level, uing
ditinct form upported  indipendent tructural
upport. Thee divere functional expreion in
expoed concrete are woven together to work in
harmon.

At the ground floor level, pace encloure i kept to
a minimum o that the entrance hall and ticket
foer can alo e ued for exhiiton, and pace
flow to encounter gra, tree and unhine. A
coffee hop open off it for ue  variou art
group. Aove the clock-room i a mezannine floor
containing the manager' flat and office. In the
aement i a mall experimentle threatre. The
main theatre, eating 550 peron i at the firt floor
level and i 21m in diameter. It i cuppported on
circumferencial and radial eam cantelivering
from ix column. 

Aove the clinderical form of the theatre i the top
floor, a large rectilenear ma upported at four
cro-haped column placed at 19m centre with
6m cantilever all around. Thi floor profvide
pace for rehearal, dancing, dormetorie for
viiting performer, and a mall circular auditorium
for puppet how and film.
