Student Teaching
Milford Elementary School (August – October 2017) Milford, NE
 Taught grades Pre-K-6 general music, and helped lead “Eagle Singers” – an after-school
music program
 Helped lead and observed color guard rehearsals at Milford High School

Valley Lutheran High School (October – December 2017) Phoenix, AZ


 Taught grades 9-12 choir (Valley Singers and Concert Choir), 9-12 concert band, and the
Music Appreciation class (grades 9-12)
 Observed Worship Arts class – consisted of a Bible study and praise band rehearsal
 Organized the choral library – created a database, and organized music in file cabinets
according to composer, church year, etc.
 Helped with the fall drama production by working the lights, and gave lines from the
script to students as they rehearsed

 Helped with 4th grade instrument testing – each 4th grade class was given the
opportunity to try out three band instruments
 Developed a 3-day lesson that prepared the students to march in their upcoming youth
parade. We worked on memorizing music, and basic marching technique and
terminology.
