a) Determine the motor torque Tm(t) to obtain speed trajectory as shown in Fig. 2a.
b) If the motor torque is as shown in Fig. 2b, determine the speed of the system, assume the system is standstill
at initial.

motor needed when the constant load torque is 50 Nm?
b) How fast will the motor decelerate to 0 rpm speed if the motor’s electric supply is switched off?

kgm2, r = 0.2m and m = 100 kg. A gearbox with gear ratio i = n1:n2=2. The mass m is driven to follow the speed
profile as in Fig. 3b.
a) Determind the motor speed
b) Calculate the motor torque.

A conveyor system is simplified depicted by Fig. 5a bellow. The total moment of inertia of the motor and the driving
pulley is Jt = 1 kgm2. The driving pulley has diameter of D = 0.8m. The load is m = 1000 kg. The friction
