4.3.5 Tightening Sequence

Anchor bolts should be tightened in two stages:

a. First stage should apply 50% of full pre-tension load to all bolts.

b. Second stage should apply full pre-tension load to all bolts.

Bolts should be tightened in a criss-cross pattern. (See Figure 4.4 for circular
bolt pattern sequence.)
