Dear Parents/Guardians,

As we come to the end of Christmas Term 2017, kindly note the following:

Sports Dav will be held on Fridav December 15. 2017 at Cornwall Golleqe. Please be reminded that it is
compulsory for all students to attend as it is a normal school day. All students are to report to Mount Alvernia
High School, in regular School Uniform, or in House T-Shirts with the school logo) and Jeans pants or
Jeans skirts before 8:00 am. Please note that the jeans must be a solid one. That means, no cuts,
patterns, stits etc must be on the jeans. Please note that the P.E. Shirt is notihe same as the house T-
shirt. Students are permitted to wear a blacUblue jeans (no other colours will be allowed). All students,
except 6th Formers, must be in their house shirt f[Of p.e. shirt. Students are also permitted to wear a
sneakers, a flat shoes or a sandal (no flip flops). the foot wear must be appropriate for school (no heels),
or they may wear their school shoes. Students must be present at Mount Alvernia High School before
8:00 a.m. for registration and devotions. We will walk across, in lines,
from the school compound. Students who arrive late will not be allowed entry onto the field. Rules
regarding items not to be taken to school will apply. Rules regarding dress and hair are to be respected.
The following variations will be permitted:
. House Caps
o Tie..... ...... in House colours
o Socks ......in House colours
o Ribbons/Head bands...... in House colours
. Belt.... .......in House colours

No jewellery, make-up, glitters, coloured spray, false hair, head-scarves, fake nails are not to be worn. No
coloured material is to be woven in the hair. Only parents/guardians will be admitted. No sibblings will
be permitted unless they are accompanied by a parent. lnformation giving the names of persons who will
be attending should be handed in no Iater than Wednesdav December 13. 2017, before Sports Dav.
Parents are being encouraged to volunteer as marshals on the day. Please contact the Front Office or
send your information with your daughter/ward, to the front office. Students who do not follow the
specific instructions given above, will be sent back home. STUDENTS WHO DEFACE THE SCHOOL
UNIFORM AND ARE SEEN IN THE TOWN LOITERING WILL BE SEVERELY PUNISHED.

Absence from Sports Day must be explained with a letter from home when students return to school on
Monday January 8, 2018.

School Closes on Friday December 15,2017 and reopens on Monday, January 8, 2018 for all students.
Grade 11/12113 students are asked to report for regular classes on @ and on Tuesdav
December 19. 2017 at the reqular time.

As we move into the Christmas season, let us all thank God for sending us His precious son, Jesus, to be our
Saviour. We thank God for His many blessings on us in 2017 , and wish for its continuation in 2018.

Office Closure
The school offices will be closed on Christmas Eve and will reopen on Wednesday, January 3,2018.

We wish all our parents, guardians and students the peace, love and joy of Christmas and a blessed New Year
2018.
