Research:
Artic Geophysics Independent Study August 2017-Present
• Manufacturing and testing of a micro-resistivity array which will be utilized in field work measuring sea ice thickness in
Barrow, Alaska.
• Design and test an active sunshield with a temperature probe utilizing Arduino microcontrollers going to Barrow, Alaska to
measure temperature gradients above the ice. While protecting the probe from absorbing heat from the sunlight and risk ruining
data.
Field Work Radford University Artic Geophysics Research Trip February-March 2018
• 2 Week trip to Barrow, Alaska doing field work.
• Testing the micro-resistivity array to determine the thickness of the sea ice and model the surface underneath.
• Measuring temperature gradients with an array of temperature probes above the sea ice.
Extracurricular:
• Secretary of Radford Universities’ Physics Honor Society Sigma Pi Sigma. August 2017-Present
• Member of Radford Universities’ Society of Physics Students club.

Experience:
Teachers Assistant, Radford University Physics Department August 2017-Present
• Teacher assistant for physics electronics lab (PHYS-309) where students learn the fundamentals of building electronic circuits
and programing Arduino Microcontrollers.
• Teacher assistant for an algebra-based physics course (PHYS-111) and a calculus-based physics course (PHYS-221)
• Responsible for assembling and guiding students though laboratory experiments.
• Reinforcing the understanding of the material for students through assistance in labs.
