CPD- in 2014 and 2015 0.6 million jobs generated- annually 0.3mn average while 2 million eligible
graduates are entering in the market each year

WB stated in 2012 that BD needs to generate 1.5 mn jobs annually for next 20 yrs
SB of Police stated nearly 400,000 foreigner are working in BD with work permit and 100,000 have no
work permit. These people are mainly from India, Sri Lanka and Pakistan followed by china, south korea,
Taiwan, Palestine, Nigeria, Ghana and EU
Silicon India reported 500,000 indian working in BD. BD is the 6th highest remittance source of India with
$3.7 BN annual transfer. But BOI stated only 12000 indian are working in BD. CPD says that BD is 3rd
highest for India
Way of staying in BD are marrying local women and investment. Many stay with family in BD without
providing information. Mainly work in RMG, Power Plants, Telco, energy companies.
