I am interested in the cashier position that is available in the Merced 99 cent store. I see that it was advertised online
and I feel that I am best qualified to handle this job position. I am currently a high school senior looking for a position
that will help me improve my customer service skills.

My name is Delia Hurtado, even though I do not have work experience, I believe that the past experiences that I’ve
had makes me qualified enough to have a position. In the description it says that the applier must have
communication skills. I have fundraised many times and it requires you to sell to people and I use my communication
skills to sell my product. It also states that you need someone with the ability to transfer transactions. With the
fundraiser, I also had to handle money such as giving back the right amount of change back to the customer. Along
with this experience I learned how to handle different types of people which helps me improve my people’s skill and
how to communicate with customers.
