AUTHOR AND HWSTR^^^^

Jan Swanberg had her first story published

in The Oakland Tribune when she was eight years


old, and she's been writing for children ever

since! In her free time, she enjoys adventure


travel, tennis, and dance. She lives with her
husband and two children, Ben and Leslie, in

northern California.

Ron Lipking has illustrated more than a dozen


books for children, including Old-Fashtoned
Christmas (a pop-up carousel book), Silent Night,

Jingle Bells, and Deck the Halls (all pop-up books


of songs), and Disney Funworks' The Wacky
• Farm series. He has also illustrated for

Spider, Cricket, and Sesame Street magazines.


Mr. Lipking lives in southern California with
his four children, his wife, Cathy, and a horse
named Cinder.
