Chocolate Chip Cake Cookies

Makes 12

Ingredients
1 cup of vanilla cake mix

1 egg

½ cup of chocolate chips, or add to taste

Tools
Measuring cup

Mixing bowl

Wooden spoon

Baking sheet

Cooking spray

Oven

Directions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°
2. Measure cake mix and pour into mixing bowl
3. Crack egg into mixing bowl. Mix well with wooden spoon until
the cake mix and egg have made a paste. If the mixture is
crumbly or dry, add another egg. [Note: this may make the
cookies expand when baked]
4. Measure chocolate chips. Pour into mixing bowl and mix well
with wooden spoon until evenly dispersed into batter.
5. Spray baking sheet with cooking spray
6. With wooden spoon, scoop cookie dough into balls about 1-2
inches wide onto baking sheet. Repeat with the rest of the
batter, placing each ball of cookie dough 3-4 inches apart.
7. Bake in oven for 10-15 minutes or until the edges are golden
brown.
8. Insert a toothpick into the center of a cookie. If the
toothpick comes out clean, the cookie is baked thoroughly. If
not, bake for another minute and repeat until it does. Take
them out before the edges start to burn.
9. Remove cookies from oven and let cool before serving

Additional Notes
Maintain ratio of 1 egg per cup of cake mix to modify recipe to
yield more or less cookie dough
