    Dear Parents/Guardians,

    In my Film Lit class we will be watching “R” movies, as to not do so would mean that we
    would not be able to watch many of the best movies/directors of all time, including ​The
    Godfather, Moonlight, Amelie,​ and almost anything by Martin Scorsese, Stanley
    Kubrick, The Cohen Brothers, David Fincher, and many more. We will only watch these
    movies when there is a specific learning objective that the film is needed for or if in not
    doing so, students would miss out on a key element of film history/theory.

    Due to the adult content in these films, please let me know if you do not want your
    student to be in the room for specific subject matter (violence, drug use, nudity) or at all
    on these days.. Students not in the room will be given an alternative assignment
    instead.
