Conducting Root Cause Analysis in case of incident or near misses. Reporting all incidents
and near misses as per the guide lines, encouraging personnel to report incidents and near
misses
Making all crew aware of CABGOC and SVA safety policies, procedures including SOP,
SWPs relevant to the task and adhered by the staff. Make sure all of them available to the
staff
Behavioural Based Safety Observation System (BBS) 100% participation and trying to
exceed 100%. Selecting best observations
Encouraging Personnel to perform quality observations and continues talks on performing
quality observation
Conducting stop work authority and reporting stop work authority
Field visits to understand and improve safety of the personnel working on site
Providing necessary support to all supervisors and staff in terms of Health, Safety and
Environments aspects
Conducting safety talks interestingly with diverse topics related to work performed and
focusing on the Health and Environmental aspects. Focusing not only on personnel safety but
also on process safety
Ensure all the employees stick to drug and alcohol policy and fit for the work while
performing the task
All Rigging Gear were certified to perform the task and conducting inspection regularly
Conducting inspecting on the testing equipment and other machinery regularly
Making sure Industrial Hygiene and Personal hygiene is maintained in the work facility’s and
office floor by staff
Making sure all the personnel completed safety training for their task, identifying training
needs, all certificate is current and organizing trainings as and when necessary
Organizing/leading company in CABGOC Emergency Drills and Muster Point Drills
Conducting Short Service Employee Orientation / Induction Program (SSE)
Making sure all the safety related equipment such as fire extinguishers, eye wash station, first
aid kits and others are inspected and maintained on a regular basis
Ensure all the PPE is available for the staff, and maintaining PPE Inventory, controlling the
wastage of PPE, ensure that the PPE Issuing Register is up to date and that employees sign
for their PPE when receive.
Ensure CABGOC and company IT policies are adhered by the crew
Ensure staff follow safe work practices, use right tool for the task, having JSAs, and other
relevant documentation required while performing the task
Conducting health and safety companies such as cholera, malaria etc.
Proactive in by weekly meeting and monthly meetings, audits conducted by CABGOC
Making sure all the working areas are safe by eliminating hazards (conducting Hazard Huts)
Leading Housekeeping activities on a weekly basis
Assisting Supervisor and crew on performing their tasks safely
Updating critical list, maintain action list, follow up on action items with respective people
and closing the action items on timely basis
Conducting vehicle inspections on a regular basis and follow up on the action items
Conducting CPAT meetings, preparing all the relevant material for meetings
Updating all the safety records such as man hours, incidents accidents and medical cases etc.
BBS, training records etc.
Ensure all the company and CAGOC HES targets are achieved
Conducting safety inspection, audits, hazard hunts and maintain records and follow up the
actions
Focuses on identifying hazards, assessing and controlling risks associated with
reconditioning, assembling and testing activities of Valves, Pumps and Mechanical Seals at
SVA facilities.
Promotes a culture of continual safety improvement of work processes for reducing health,
safety and environmental risks to assure a workplace that is safe and without any harm to
personnel and the environment.
Promotes a safe behavioural based culture during specific high risk activities such as lifting
operations and pressure testing activities etc.
Ensure that Site Specific Waste Management Procedure is complied with. Monitor the
separation of waste streams within the dustbins.
Monitors compliance to SVA’s HSE Management System requirements and HSE
performance and report any non-conformances
Monitor and assure the update of Action Tracking Registers – ensure observation cards and
audits findings are captured on the Site specific HSE Action Tracking Register.
HSE workplace inspections, audits, identifying non-conformities, defects and system
deficiencies.
Ensure that corrective and preventative actions are closed out on a timely manner.
Liaise with Security Managers for security related incidents / audits. Communicate
CABGOC and company information to the crew as and when necessary
Making sure all the employees follow agronomics, ensure HVAC controlled environment,
other basic amenities such as drinking water, toilets etc. available to staff
Any other activity assigned by PM HES adviser or Operations Manager
