Peulich: Labor Fails Frankston Families

Inga Peulich MLC has slammed Labor over the debacle of a major community project in Frankston. The Frankston
Basketball Centre redevelopment, a Labor election commitment in 2014, has again been shafted.

Paul Edbrooke, Member for Frankston, and the Labor Government will likely squander the $3.5 million committed
to this project under the former Coalition Government.

Ms Peulich has condemned Mr Edbrooke, and the Labor government after questioning his intent to live up to
election commitments. Ms Peulich is outraged that three years and over $3.5 million have been wasted within her
constituency by a Labor Government that has once again failed to deliver on election commitments.

In 2014, Labor re-committed to the Frankston Basketball Centre redevelopment project upon winning
government. The Frankston community, it appears, will never see this promised infrastructure.

This failed election commitment adds to the growing list of debacles under Paul Edbrooke’s stewardship.

Quotes attributed to Inga Peulich MLC, Shadow Minister for Multicultural Affairs:

“If the Minister for Sport is as committed to the health and wellbeing of the Frankston community as he claims,
why has our community been waiting three years for a project that was already financed during the former
Coalition Government?”
