WHAT IS INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN CERTIFICATION?

Instructional Design certification is basically a certificate awarded to people who engage in

therefore, it can be made applicable to all types of problems just by customizing the approach
of addressing the problem.

It is a roadmap that gives directions to approach a problem in a systematized manner so as to


achieve effective results.

Example: if a company is facing problems with regard to performance appraisals of employees


and wants to bring the least performing ones at par with the best, they need to devise a
solution that is practically applicable yet systematic in nature and this is exactly where
Instructional Designing comes into picture, it sets the tone for addressing any problem with a
systematized approach.

When we get certified it means we are now capable of doing something in a refined and
conceptually sound manner, different from how a layman would do it.

Example: anybody can cook but a chef is certified in the field of cooking because he is aware of
the nuances involved in cooking.

Therefore, to become a master in a field one has to first get certified. Instructional Designer is
in itself a profession that can be sought by people.
