Personal statement

An enthusiastic and focused junior software developer with 7 months high quality java
experience in an agile environment. Working with Valtech I learnt the basics to advanced
Java. I am currently studying It and Computing at the open university part time of which I am
in my third year out of six.

Core skills

 Broad development knowledge, including Java, Spring and automated testing.

 Strong analytical skills and level headed problem solver
 Strong java in an object orientated environment and currently learning C#.
 Great knowledge of HTML and CSS, currently learning JavaScript.

Work history in Software Development

It Development Analyst – NHSBSA - Blackpool

(October 2015 – August 2016)

Working on a finance project of which I assisted on Junit testing and Selenium tests, whilst
working on technical debt work.

Duties
 Running Junit and Selenium tests when senior developers had completed a sprint. This
including editing and creating tests to suit new code.
 Analysing and debugging code.
 Creating validations for user input, such as password validation.
 Help keep track of work using the Kanban board.
 Involved with story point estimations.
