Awards

A commemoration of unsung heroes, K! Awards is a new initiative by Kurukshetra to recognise and

honour some of the lesser known eminent personalities of our country. The Awards ceremony will
also feature special shows like Tron Dancing, Magic Show and Speed Painting.

The list of awardees is as follows:

Santi Sounderarajan – Indian track and field athelete and also the first Tamilian to win a medal at
the Asian games. She has won 12 International medals for India and around 50 medals for Tamil
Nadu. In January 2007, she was awarded a television set and a cash prize of Rs. 1.5 million by
the Tamil Nadu government for her Doha Games effort, despite the fallout of Soundarajan failing
a gender test. Soundarajan spent her reward money on her students.

Saji Thomas- A deaf and mute man who built a low-cost aircraft all by himself. Hailing from
Idukku district in Kerela, Mr Thomas was passionate about planes right from his childhood. He
built this aircraft at a cost of 14 lakh rupees.

Subik Pandian- the young and brilliant student pursuing 8th Standard , who designed the concept
of a urinal using old water cans and also won an award for the same.

Sriram and Sunderram , whose enterprise Twin Twigs enables them to be creative within the
worlds of cerebral palsy.

Arthi- a student from Muthupet district who invented a new machine for brick-making.

VR gaming

A brand new AR-VR gaming arena in all its glory with enthralling roller-coaster rides and walks in
the sky. Be there to experience the adventure and magic.

PS Gaming

A PS4 gaming arena set up exclusively for all gaming enthusiasts to showcase their dexterity.

Bike Stunt Show :A mind-boggling stunt show performed by KTM motors to set your adrenaline
rushing to new highs.

Cycle Stunt Show : Stunts performed by cyclists from BMX.

RC Car Racing : A mini Grand Prix with VR enabled car racing to showcase your driving skills.

3D Hologram : An exclusive Hologram projection project by Kurukshetra., inspired by the

Hologram technology in Avatar.

Sky Lantern : As a grand finale to Kurukshetra, launching of lanterns will take place .
