Roles

There are currently 33 roles in Town of Salem, separated into 3 categories: Town, Mafia, and Neutral .
These include 7 unique roles. Users who own Town of Salem - The Coven have 49 roles to play with, 19
which are unique. This expansion includes the new Coven faction. The official roles list provided by

Town Roles
The Town roles each have one goal: "Lynch every criminal and evildoer." Those evildoers include
the Mafia, NeutralKilling, Neutral Chaos, Coven, and Witches.

Retributionist (Ret,Retri) You may revive a dead town member.
Transporter (Trans) Choose two people to transport at night.
Mafia Roles
The Mafia all share a common goal: "Kill all who will not submit to the Mafia." These include any
members of the Town, any members of the Coven, any Neutral Killings, and any Neutral Chaos roles.

Neutral Roles
The Neutral roles each have different goals, and some of those are compatible with the goals of the other
teams, meaning that some of these roles are able to win alongside them. It's worth checking the goal
descriptions to see who you can potentially ally with as a Neutral.

Juggernaut (Jugg) You may choose to attack a player on Full Moon nights.
Neutral Killing
Serial Killer (SK) Kill someone each night.
Werewolf (WW,Were) Transform into a Werewolf during the Full Moon.

Notes
 People often type out their role's in-game description to prove their innocence. This is not cheating,
but looked down upon.[1][2][3][4] This strategy has been nullified, as BlankMediaGames has made all
role cards visible from inside the game.
 Becoming a certain role is entirely up to chance, depending on the list of your game
mode. Scrolls allow you to increase or decrease these chances.
 The ideas for the Forger and Vampire roles were originally suggested by the community.[5]
