CFRP application procedure

Step 1

Clean the surface with Acetone using a paper towels.

Step 2

Remove any dust from the surface with brush.

Step 3

Mix primer part A and part B together. Stir well for 5 minutes.
Step 4

Apply primer on the steel surface using a brush in a particular direction. Let it air dry for 45
minutes.

Step 5

Mix adhesives part A and part B (A:B = 3:1 by weight)

Step 6

Apply adhesive on top of the cured steel samples.

Step 7

Use normal roller to spread the glue layer evenly.

Step 8

Apply CFRP on the specimen.

Step 9

Use ribbed roller starting from middle to the end until glue penetrates through CFRP layer.

Step 10

Apply adhesive on top of CFRP and use round roller and ribbed roller in fibre direction.
