Bentley Haestad Solutions For Water Loss Control
Bentley Haestad Solutions For Water Loss Control
Water loss is a very complex issue, and one-off investments in fixing leaks and replacing meters are not enough; being reactive
(when a leak is reported) is much less efficient than being proactive (identifying hidden leaks, optimizing repair functions and up-
grading distribution infrastructure before its useful life ends), where all the components of a water loss program are coordinated
to reduce overall losses.
Bentley is the only software company which has the ability to address all aspects of water loss. By using Bentley’s integrated
water software, engineers will be able to improve customer service, reduce non-revenue water and generate a comprehensive and
pro-active plan to manage water loss strategically. Bentley recommends applying its software products to the International Water As-
sociation Best Practices which combine 4 strategies to address water leakage: Active Leakage Control, Pressure Management, Speed
and Quality of Repairs, and Infrastructure Management.
WaterGEMS®:
Water distribution modeling
Active Leakage Control: Pressure Management:
Use Darwin® Calibrator Reduce leakage through
optimization technology to planned pressure reduction
locate and quantify leakage
Bentley® Water:
GIS-based asset and facilities management
Infrastructure Management:
Identify areas with a bad leak history, and perform analysis of
whether to replace pipes or continue to repair them
