Johnny Depp

Johnny Depp is an American actor, musician,

producer and director. He has appeared in such films as
"Edward Scissorhands" (1990), "Alice in Wonderland"
(2010) and "Pirates of the Caribbean" series.

He was born in Owensboro, Kentucky, United

States, on June 9, 1963 and at the age of 12, he won his
first guitar. At the age of 13, he moved to Florida. At 16 he
formed his first band, "The Kids" and he played the guitar.

He participated in "Platoon" (1986), an award-winning film, where he

gained prominence. Between 1987 and 1990, was part of the cast of the TV series
"Angels of the Law", which was a great success. In 1990, he starred in the comedy
"Cry Baby," in the role of a Bad Boy leader of a group living in Baltimore in the
1950s. That same year, the actor had great success with "Edward Scissorhands"
(1990), with director Tim Burton. Depp received the Best Actor Award and
received his first Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor.

Still with the direction of Tim Burton, Johnny Depp starred in "The Legend
of the Headless Horseman" (1999), "The Fantastic Chocolate Factory" (2005),
among many others.

Johnny Depp has appeared in a number of

films, but the most significant part of his career was in
"Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black
Pearl" (2003), playing "Jack Sparrow" when he
received his first Oscar nomination for Best Actor.
