COMPOLOO STEEL FRAME 1.

4 Side Panels

4.1 Assembling the side panels

The side panels are the first panels that should be assembled and can be assembled in the following
steps.

 Figure 2 shows the layout of the right side panel.

 Layout the steel tubing on the ground as indicated in Figure 2.
 Start at the bottom, add the relevant Connect-it pieces as indicated in Figure 2.
 Work through the frame, adding all of the Connect-it pieces loosely to ensure that everything
fits and is the right size.
 The type of Connect-it pieces are indicated by coding A, B, C in Figure 2, this matches the
coding in the materials list.
 Once you have done this you can fix the Connect-it pieces using a drill and the Mark-it 3 pieces
from Connect-it.
 Finally, you can mark out the ply using the frame and cut this. You should find that the ply fits
neatly on to the frame as it is the same size (1220mm) and you only have to cut off the top of
the sheet.
 Fix the ply to the frame by placing the ply on top of the frame and clamping the ply in place.
 Fix the ply to the frame by drilling the corners of the ply about 12.5 mm from the edges (so that
you drill into the middle of the steel tubing).
 Screw screws into the corner holes and then measure between each of the corners and divide
the length by 300 - 450 mm to locate additional fixing points which should be equally spaced.
 Drill these fixing points and fix ply to the frame at these points with screws.
