The Ones Who Walk Away From Omelas

How could this story be considered a type of utopia?

This story is considered a type of utopia, because everybody lives in perfect
society, even with a drug that brings immense pleasure, and everybody is joyful.

Is the way this society works reasonable? Why or why not?

This society does not work reasonable, because in order for everybody to live
happily, one person has to suffer for all of their happiness, and the person is
treated miserably, and this is inhumane..

Is this a fair society? Why or why not?

This is not a fair society, because not everybody gets treated the same, because
one person suffers while the others live in joy, peace, and pleasure.

Harrison Bergeron
How could this story be considered a type of utopia?
This story would be considered a type of utopia because everybody is equal, which
does not pose any outliers. With equality, everybody would be as happy as
everybody else, and this would be a perfect community.

Is the way this society works reasonable? Why or why not?

This society does not work reasonably, because they downgrade the citizen’s
intelligence, and physical features. This is not humane.

Is this a fair society? Why or why not?

This is definitely a fair society, because everybody is the same, and they are all
treated equally.
