    On February 6, 2018, Thunder Bay Fire Rescue responded to a structural fire at a two-story residence on McGregor Avenue. Upon arrival, smoke and flames were seen venting from the roof. A second alarm was called, bringing 22 firefighters total to the scene with five pumpers, an aerial ladder, and a Platoon Chief. The fire was quickly brought under control with damage concentrated to the second floor and attic. No injuries were reported to occupants or firefighters, and the cause is under investigation.

    Structural Fire McGregor Avenue


    February 6, 2018

    On February 6, 2018 at 16:03 Thunder Bay Fire Rescue Service responded to a structural
    fire in a two storey residence on the 1400 block of McGregor Ave. First arriving unit observed
    smoke and flames venting from the roof of the structure and commenced a rapid interior
    attack. A second alarm was initiated which brought the total compliment of fire fighters on the
    scene to twenty two. Five pumpers, an aerial ladder and a Platoon Chief responded to the
    incident. The blaze was quickly brought under control with fire damage concentrated to the
    second floor and attic area of the home. Damage estimates are unknown at this time. There
    were no injuries to report to occupants or fire personnel. The cause of the fire is currently
    under investigation.
