Procedure and Tentative Schedule of Special Selective Examination for

International Students

NOTE: Application forms will be distributed to only those who have contacted and received
acceptance from their advisory professor. Those wishing to join our graduate school must
contact and receive acceptance from the advisory professor by early-November.

Tentative Schedule (Please confirm the exact dates from your advisory professor.):
Mid-November: Registration of candidates for the examination by the preferred major
advisory professor
Late-November: Distribution of Application Forms to registered candidates
Late-December: Submission of application
Mid to late-February: Entrance examination
Early-March: Announcement of result

Documents to be submitted are as follows:


(1) Application Form
(2) Receipt of Application Fee Transfer
(3) All diplomas or graduation certificates
(4) Transcripts of scholastic record
(5) Recommendation letter from the President, Dean, Department Chairman or Faculty
Advisor
(6) Certificate of proficiency in Japanese Language from a language teacher or equivalent
(7) For the applicants of Applied Biological Chemistry, Biotechnology and Aquatic
Bioscience, Confirmation Letter signed by the prospective supervisor
(8)For the applicants of Master’s course of Agricultural and Resource Economics, a
statement of the reason to apply for admission (less than 1200 words)
(9) For the applicants of Veterinary Medical Sciences, Research Proposal
(10) For the applicants of Doctoral course, Master’s Thesis or equivalent, and summary of
Master’s Thesis or equivalent (Submit to the preferred major advisory professor before the
examination.)
(11) For applicants residing in Japan, a copy of Residence Card
