ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
We are very much thankful from the core of our heart for the
precious contribution of our guide Dr. Sonu Sharma, who provided
her valuable guidance and possible help. The successful completion of
the project has been possible due to sincere cooperation guidance,
inspiration, moral support and timely advice of our guide who
devoted her cooperation in this project work.

First of all we are cordially thankful to our supervisor Dr. Sonu

Sharma, assistant professor, Department of Physics, Abhilashi P.G.
Institute of Sciences, Nerchowk, Mandi. Her encouragement,
guidance and support from the initial to the final level enable us to
develop an understanding. Her benevolent and cordial attitude has
always allowed us to express without hesitation.

My sincere thanks to Dr. R.K. Abhilashi Chairman. Abhilashi Group

of Institution for providing necessary facilities to carry out this
work. We are thankful to entire office staff of Department of Physics,
Abhilashi P.G. Institution, for their assistance at various stages of the
work.

We feel it our first and foremost duty to express our deep sense of
gratitude and pay our sincere thanks to Mr. Ashwani Kumar, Mrs.
Leena Thakur and Mr. Rajneesh Kumar, Department of Physics,
Abhilashi P.G. Institution for their guidance and requisite help in the
present study. Without their kind help and proper guidance, it would
not have been possible for us to complete this project report.

Our deepest gratitude goes to our family for the unflagging love and
support throughout our life.

The completion of this work would not have been possible without the
valuable contribution of my dear friends and well-wishers.

PREFACE
We feel immense pleasure to present this project report on the topic, “(PZT) Piezoelectric
Material as Transducer and Energy Harvester”. The project aims at the study of
Pb[Zr0.52Ti 0.48]O3 (PZT) Piezoelectric material as transducer, its application as an energy
harvester and the characteristics behavior of its voltage with respect to time over the applied
mechanical stress on PZT pallet.

For easy comprehension, the subject matter had been judiciously split up into chapters and
sections. Each subtopic has been explained with the help of diagram and figures.

In the first chapter we give the introduction about the project.

In the second chapter we emphasized the basic piezoelectric material.

In the third chapter we explained the PZT.

In the fourth chapter we explained the piezoelectric material as transducer.

In the fifth chapter we discussed the piezoelectric material as energy harvester.

In the sixth chapter we give the experimental details.

In the seventh chapter we discussed the observation and result.

In the eighth chapter we concluded the study.

In the ninth chapter we described the scopes for future.
