Note from the Principal….

I discussed Integrity in assembly this week. I would appreciate it if you could reiterate this important value at
home.
“Doing the right thing without someone watching or telling you what to do.”

Co-Curricular
All Extra Mural activities will start at 2pm and end at 3pm. Please ensure that transport providers are aware of
these times. They may not arrive earlier to collect learners as this is very disruptive for the coach.

Drop and Read

We encourage all learners to carry a book in their school bags to read every day.

Finance
A huge thank you to all parents who have paid their tuition fees. We appreciate your support and
commitment to your child’s education. Fees paid in full by the end of February will receive a 10% discount.
To all parents, please note that fees are paid on the FIRST of every month (1 January until the 1 October).

SGB Elections – 6 March

We will be electing our new SGB members on the 6 March. I encourage all parents with a keen interest in this
process to nominate parents who are committed and supportive of the school.
Nomination forms will be available at the school office as from Monday, 12 February. Please collect a form,
nominate a parent and then return the form to school asap.
We need parents with LEGAL (Labour Law/ HR) and FINANCIAL expertise. However, all parents who are
available and keen to attend meetings once a term and have the school’s best interest at heart are
welcome.

Textbooks
All learners may leave their textbooks at home. Teachers will keep a set of books in the classroom for learners
to work from. All textbooks must be kept in a safe place at home. We will do an audit at the end of each
term.

Uniforms
Please ensure that your child is dressed neatly in the correct school uniform. Too many Foundation Phase
learners are wearing the incorrect uniform.

D6 Communicator
If you have not done so, please download the D6 School Communicator at http://www.school-
communicator.com/downloads We use this platform to communicate with parents including newsletters,
co-curricular activities etc.
