ABSTRACT

One of the common problems that every teacher encountered with their students is

the misbehavior of the students in school that might result poor academic performance.

Student conduct problems in the classroom not only interfere with teaching and learning

but are also thought to be a leading contributor to teacher stress and a precursor to later

school dropout. Many schools are aggressively searching programs to remediate and

reform problematic behavior in students. However, it is important to understand first

what constitute that students misbehave and second why students behave the way they

do.

This research examines students’ misbehavior in the context of individual, social

and institutional influences. And It also revealed the students’ reason why they

misbehave in school. The results from this study confirm the existence of a common

general misbehavior. Results of which may be used by teachers in choosing appropriate

methods and strategies to overcome the misbehavior encountered with every students.

Teachers may consider the factors that influence individual students to perform erroneous

behavior in school. The teacher may provide programs that will remediate the common

misbehavior of their students. Teachers may encourage, develop, and practice students to

enlighten their mind with the true essence of right and wrong. Students could participate

seriously with the solutions given to them which are highly effective which will make

individual student be on the proper behavior.
