GLOBAL YOUTH SUMMIT – Mall of Asia Arena
February 6, 2016

Before we are deployed to the communities that we will be serving, we attended

the Annual Global Youth Summit that was held last February 6 at the Mall of Asia
Arena.
Thousands of students, as well as young professionals, gathered to witness the
one-day summit with the theme of “One World”. The event is divided into three parts:
Inspire, Engage and Activate. Speakers from different places and sectors spoke about
the current issues that are troubling the society. One of them is Mr. Jinsoo Kim who
spoke about the vital role of youth in achieving and building peace throughout the world.
Our very own NSTP Director, Dr. Florida C. Labuguen, also gave her inspirational
speech to all of us at the summit.
Our group realized that through our actions, whether drastic or trivial, we can
help change not just the world but also ourselves. Instilling this thought in our minds, we
strived to make others also feel motivated through our immersions. The summit
influenced us to do better and to make the most out of the privilege of being NSTP-
CWTS trainees.
