Corrugated Sheath Pipe Grout

 Wait for at least 3 hours before start the preparation of pumping grout for corrugated sheath
pipe. This to achieve the setting time of the joint grout and not be disturb that may cause leak
during pumping of grout for sheath pipe.
 Once set, mix a corrugated sheath pipe filler non-shrink grout properly.
 Conduct flow test to confirm the workability of the grout before pumping into sheath pipe using
its inlets at the bottom.
 Pump the grout on bottom inlet until it overflow on the top outlet of the sheath pipe then cover
or bend the hose and tied. Put additional pumping strokes on the grout then remove the nozzle
on the bottom then cover or bend the pipe to seal the inlet.
 Provide 9 set of cube sample of the grout for compressive strength, 3 pcs for 3 days, 3 pcs for 7
days and 3 pcs for 28 days.

9. Removal of Temporary Props

Remove temporary props 3 days after grout pumping on corrugated sheath pipe or as per Engineer’s
approval.

Grout Mixing Procedure

Procedure:

1. Check the expiration date of grout if still can use. DO NOT USE AN EXPIRED GROUT.
2. Measure clean drinking water base on the approved grout water requirement for mixing and
pour into mixing container.
3. Start mixing the water in the mixing container using electric mixing tools before pouring the
grout.
4. Pour the grout carefully on the water with continues mixing. DO NOT POUR WATER ON THE
GROUT.
5. Continue mix the grout 2mins after the whole bag is poured in the container to ensure thorough
mixing of the grout. Do not divide one (1) whole bag of grout to mix. Dividing the bag may result
uneven grout/water ratio in mixing that could affect the strength of the grout. Plan carefully the
quantity of the grout to be mixed against the requirements on site.
6. Provide 3 sets of 3 pcs cube sample for compressive strength test: 3 pcs for 3 days, 3 pcs for 7
days and 3 pcs for 28 days.
