In​ ​landfills,​ ​PET​ ​Plastic​ ​takes
about​ ​1,000​ ​years​ ​to
decompose.​ ​Plastics​ ​can​ ​also​ ​be
turned​ ​into​ ​Liquid​ ​Fuel​ ​through
pyrolysis,​ ​a​ ​high​ ​heat​ ​process.
Why​ ​Upcycle?:
While​ ​enhancing​ ​energy
efficiency​ ​through​ ​the​ ​usage​ ​of
plastic​ ​bottles,​ ​United​ ​States
citizens​ ​save​ ​about​ ​$4​ ​billion
total​ ​each​ ​year.​ ​It​ ​takes​ ​these
bottles​ ​450-1000​ ​years​ ​to
decompose​ ​in​ ​landfills.
History:
