9th – 11th February 2018

Cameron Highlands, Pahang

And your Lord says: “And they found a servant from among Our servants to
whom we had given mercy from us and had taught him from Us a [certain]
knowledge.” (18:65)
Misi Bakti 2018
Introduction
MISI BAKTI has been an annual programme organised by Halaqah Kebajikan Islam Mahasiswa
Brisbane (HAKIM) that involves collaboration and teaming of HAKIM with pertinent exterior
institutions, bodies and organisations.

Misi Bakti focuses on developing Malaysia’s future leaders by empowering oversea university
students to share their knowledge and skills to help younger economically-disadvantaged Malaysian
students achieve their ambitions. In turn, our committee also benefit from discovering their own
leadership potentials and organisational skills as well as becoming more perceptive of issues
surrounding education inequality in Malaysia which will hopefully instill a sense of civic awareness
towards their local community and towards the country as whole.

This time, one specific place chosen for a 3-day-programme; the area of Cameron Highlands, which is
located in the interior division of Pahang, which seem to be the fitting setting for establishing bonds
and mutual benefits between HAKIM’s committee and the local students.

Objectives
1. To equip the student-beneficiaries with the right technique to possess academic and non-
academic skills to sit for the UPSR examination through interactive modules.

2. To expose the students to the importance of tertiary education and the opportunities available,
including both, local and overseas pathway.

3. As a platform for overseas university students to discover their own leadership potentials and
organizational skills.
