 Makes analyses in inventory, historical and projected deliverables, shipments, inbound
transfers, and cost considerations necessary for planning sugar movements, ensuring
availability of physical stocks for deliveries/pick-ups, and other execution-related decisions
 Responsible for issuing internal documents necessary to initiate “Quedan” processing (e.g.
surrendering, SRA verification, swapping, etc.) and inter-island sugar movements
 Coordinates directly with certain sugar mills and traders for negotiating purchases,
participating in weekly tenders/biddings, requesting for various documents, etc.
 Secondary in tracking and analyzing the domestic sugar market’s supply and demand
situation, which entails upkeep and development of the company’s “Sugar Balance Sheet”
and tracking competitors’ sugar shipments coming out of Negros
 Secondary in allocating sugar to customers, which requires familiarity with clients (e.g.
acceptable sugar types and mill marks, FIFO regulations, COA formats, etc.) and sources (e.g.
warehouses, container yards, sugar mills, etc.)
 Part of the committee that established the company’s “Freight Desk,” which has taken over
the commercial aspect of the company’s logistics operations
