ATM SECURITY USING FINGERPRINT IRIS RECOGNITION

ABSTRACT

The main objective of this system is to propose a system, which is used for
ATM security applications. Here Bankers will collect the customer finger prints
and IRIS while opening the accounts then customer can access the ATM machine.
When the customer enters ATM no need to used atm cards at all, just by keeping
the finger print itself the machine can identify the account and will show the
details. Then the customer need to enter the pin provided to login. Then for each
transaction customer to give iris for example for cash withdrawal, balance enquiry
..Etc. This proposal will go a long way to solve the problem of account safety.

Identification and verification of a person today is a common thing; which

may include door-lock system, safe box and vehicle control or even at accessing
bank accounts via ATM, etc which is necessary for securing personal information.
The conventional methods like ID card verification or signature does not provide
perfection and reliability. The systems employed at these places must be fast
enough and robust too. Use of the ATM (Automatic Teller Machine) which
provides customers with the convenient banknote trading is facing a new challenge
to carry on the valid identity to the customer. Since, in conventional identification
methods with ATM, criminal cases are increasing making financial losses to
customers. we design a simple fingerprint and iris recognition based identifiaction
system using Microcontroller. The system uses R305 fingerprint scanner to capture
fingerprints with its DSP processor and optical sensor. This system can be
employed at any application with enhanced security because of the uniqueness of
fingerprints. It is convenient due to its low power requirement and portability.

DESCRIPTION :

The main objective of the system is to develop an Embedded system ,

which is used for ATM SECURITY purpose/application. The System uses serial
communication with the computer to scan the data base of the card holder and
automatically generates every time message to a mobile of the authorized customer
through GSM module connected to a microcontroller 89C51 . The RFID card
reader is used as an identity for a particular users . If the identity (serial number of
the tag) of the user is matched with the one already stored in this system, he gets
immediate access through it and then the transaction is done .If the false identity is
recognized then the card holder simply reply ”ACTION‘’ then the transaction will
stop and at that moment ATM door will be locked automatically by EM Lock and
blow an alarm so the concerned authority can take some action. And also a
message will be sent to a card holder along with the ATM machine by using GSM
module.

DESCRIPTION :

In this paper is designed for providing security using MEMS Accelerometer. The
output of MEMS device is given to ADC circuit to convert the analog values to
digital which is inbuilt for LPC2148 microcontroller. Whenever the accelerometer
is disturbed it gives signal to controller. MEMS are miniaturized structures,
sensors, actuators, and microelectronics. Micro sensors and micro actuators are
appropriately categorized as “transducers”, which are defined as devices that
convert energy from one form to another. In the case of micro sensors, the device
typically converts a measured mechanical signal into an electrical signal. The
LPC2148 are based on a 16/32 bit ARM7TDMl-S CPU with real-time emulation
and embedded trace support, together with 128/512 kilobytes of embedded high
speed flash memory. A 128-bit wide memory interface and a unique accelerator
architecture enable 32-bit code execution at maximum clock rate. For critical code
size applications, the alternative 16-bit Thumb Mode reduces code by more than
30% with minimal performance penalty. With their compact 64 pin package, low
power consumption, various 32-bit timers, 4- channel 10-bit ADC, USB POBT,
PWM channels and 46 GPIO lines with up to 9 external interrupt pins these
microcontrollers are particularly suitable for industrial control, medical systems,
access control and point-of-sale

DESCRIPTION :

This paper describes the main objective of this system is to develop an

embedded system, which is used for ATM security applications. In these systems,
Bankers will collect the customer finger prints and mobile number while opening
the accounts then customer only access ATM machine. The working of these ATM
machine is when customer place finger on the print module when it access
automatically generates every time different 4-digit code as a message to the
mobile of the authorized customer through GSM modem connected to the
microcontroller . The code received by the customer should be entered by pressing
the keys on the touch screen. After entering it checks whether it is a valid one or
not and allows the customer further access. The proposed wireless technology
system is more safe, reliable and easy to use for all users and has many real time
advantages.
TOPIC : MICROCONTROLLER BASED SECURE PIN ENTRY METHOD FOR
ATM

AUTHOR’S : K.KANNAN

YEAR : 2013

DESCRIPTION :

In this project a highly secured ATM transaction system has been developed with
the help of visual basic programming and Embedded C. The authenticator (Bank)
generates a random number and provides that to the card user whenever the user
inserts his card on the ATM machine. The random generated code will be send to
the card user with the help of GSM technology. The user can provide this code on
the ATM machine and can continue his transaction. Whenever they entered code
gets wrong the door of the ATM machine gets locked and security alarms will
bang. This system will help the user to secure his transaction and prevents the
unauthorized usage of the card
TOPIC : An Advanced ATM Crime Prevention System

DESCRIPITION :

The Idea of Designing an Advanced ATM Crime Prevention System is born with
the observation of ATM crime incidents happening around the world. This paper
deals with the prevention of ATM crime. Whenever robbery occurs, MEMS sensor
is used here which senses movement produced from ATM machine. This system
uses ARM controller based embedded system to process real time data collected
using the MEMS sensor. Once the movement is sensed the beep sound will occur
from the buzzer. DC Motor is used for closing the door of ATM. Stepper motor is
used to leak the gas inside the ATM to bring the thief into unconscious stage.RTC
used to capture the robber occur time and send the robbery occur time with the
message to the nearby police station through the GSM. At the same time this
system also deals with the safety of the customer by alerting the surrounding
people and nearby police station whenever the customer is in dangerous situation.
Here, Keil tools are used to implement the idea and results are obtained. This
system will prevent the crime and the person involving in crime can be easily
caught
