Building Linkages towards achieving PIChE 2020 Vision

In reference to Proclamation No. 1365 Series of 2007 which declared the third week of

September of every year as the Chemical Engineering Week, the Philippine Institute of Chemical

Engineers (PIChE) will be celebrating the 12th National Chemical Engineering Week on

September 17-23, 2017 with a theme, “Building Linkages towards achieving PIChE 2020 Vision.”

Last September 17, Sunday, professional Chemical Engineers and from different chapter

and students from different school gathered to the annual opening of the 12th ChE week at PTTC,

Pasay City, Manila. The event started with the annual parade of each school. For the record,

Adamson University got the highest number of participants for this event. Then, the modelling and

introduction per school and chapters had started. After that, the annual cheering competition had

begun. The crowd was really participating and enjoying each cheer and that made the Che week

more fun and unforgettable.

The annual celebration of the Chemical Engineering Week is an opportune time for ChE

professionals from the different PIChE Chapters and ChE students from the PIChE Junior Chapter

of Luzon to intermingle and share issues and concerns and acquire knowledge relevant to the

profession.
