All Work Based Learning (WBL) providers deal with employers, but this section focuses on
developing and improving the relationships with employers, with suggestions for how to engage
with them, and how best to meet their needs. While different employers will call for different
skills and approaches in building a relationship, the questions in this tool aim to provoke thinking
about how to improve engagement with employers. Issues highlighted in the Ofsted Common
Inspection Framework that will broadly be covered below are:
