The Acceptance Table has an overall weighted mean of 7.

09; this means that the respondents


show a high level of acceptance in the Rise of K-Pop Groups.

Under the Frequency Category, out of the six statements that were given to the 120 respondents,
most of them which is 37% answered Agree, followed by the 32% who answered Strongly
Agree, 18% for Undecided, 13% for Disagree and less than 1% for Strongly Disagree. This
shows the percentage of where the respondents’ answers were aligned.

In statement number one, the level of acceptance despite of the language barrier shows a
weighted mean of 9.01. This interprets that respondents strongly agree that foreign language
does not stop them from listening to K-Pop songs. Under the frequency table, majority of the
respondents which is 75% strongly agree answering 9-10 whilst no one gave 1-2.

Statement number two with a weighted mean of 8.23 also shows that respondents strongly agree
that the personalities of K-Pop idols make them feel somehow related to the artists. Majority of
the respondents which is 53% falls in the frequency category of strongly agree, followed by 31%
who agree whilst the least in its group consist of only one respondent who answered strongly
disagree.

Statement number three with a weighted mean of 6.83 interprets that a fair number of
respondents agreed they often imitate the fashion styles and even the choreography of their K-
Pop idols. Under the frequency category, most of the respondents which are 39% agree followed
by 24% who strongly agree whilst the least in the group is only 5% who strongly disagrees.

Statement number four with a weighted mean of 6.72 interprets that a fair number of respondents
also agreed they actively participate in discussions through social media platforms. Most of the
respondents which are 30% strongly agree followed by 26% who agree whilst the least in the
group is only 7% who strongly disagrees.

Statement number five with a weighted mean of 5.72, moderate but the lowest in the Acceptance
Table, interprets that the group of respondents were undecided in attending concerts to support
their idols. The highest in the frequency category which is 29% of the respondents strongly agree
followed by 23% who strongly disagree whilst the least in the group is 13% for both agree and
disagree. This shows that there are slightly more respondents who are able to attend concerts
events to support their idols than those who do not.

Lastly, statement number six with a weighted mean of 6.03 interprets that the group of
respondents were also undecided in terms of buying K-Pop merchandise. The highest in the
frequency category which is 28% of the respondents agree followed by 24% who strongly agree
whilst the least in the group is 15% who disagree.
