Venue: ICBI D, Classroom 18. Schedule: 09:00 – 13:30 Unit and Topics: 1c My style and 1d in my spare time.

PREVIOUS RELEVANT WORK: Students have been working with present simple, and vocabulary related to the classroom.

Goal: Students will write about what they would be doing in their perfect day.

Objective: By the end of the lesson teens will be able to describe the actions they would be doing in their perfect day by using some ideas
previously brainstormed by their classmates and some prompts provided by the teacher, in order to be able to create an imaginary
situation.

Function: Describing actions.

- T shows vocabulary about clothes to students by using a wallchart. [15 min] - Whiteboard and

- T points out some elements included in the wallchart, such as: t shirt, jacket, jeans, etc. markers

- T asks Ss to think about the actions they are performing in that moment and the ones
they do as part of their daily routine and asks them to look at the differences between
them. [20 min]
- T asks Ss if they know how to express preference and gives them some examples of it,
by writing on the board phrases like I prefer… I would like... [10 min]
- Explains to Ss how to express preference by analyzing the examples previously
provided. [20 min]
- T writes on the board “In my spare time” and explains what it is and gives them some
examples, such as: listening to music, watching tv, working out... [5 min]

- T asks Ss to go over page 12 and asks them to answer Ex.1. [10 min] - Whiteboard and
- T asks Ss to close their books, plays audio1 and asks Ss to identify the main topic of the markers

- T asks Ss to imagine they are in a contest and they have to vote for the best text. [10 min]
Technology alternative: If the speakers do not work, the teacher will read the transcript on the book aloud and will asks Ss to repeat the
new vocabulary.
