First Sunday of Lent

The gospel on this first Sunday of Lent tells us that Jesus returns from His forty days in the desert
proclaiming: “The Kingdom of God is at hand. Repent and believe the Gospel!” Prayer, fasting,
almsgiving and the sacrament of Penance are the Church’s traditional practices that have proven
effective in helping people repent and live the Gospel. Do not miss this life-changing opportunity!
Schedule time and make the effort to focus your family on Jesus and His Gospel this Lent.
364 Holy Hours were kept before the Blessed Sacrament this past week. We have two
vacancies on Saturday, one from 5-6:00pm and one 8-9:00pm. Remember, all who make a
visit and are not committed. Those who are committed are the adorers who keep the doors
unlocked for you to visit. We certainly appreciate your visit. Once you begin, you’ll find that
hour is the best one of your whole week. Are the graces from our Lord abundant when you are
committed? Try and find out for yourself! Please call Beth White at 330-690-3726 or Gene Ryan at 330-
