EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT
The Emergency Unit (ER) is one part of the hospital that provides early
treatment for patients suffering from illness and injury, which can threaten its survival.
In the ER can be found doctors from various specialties along with a number of nurses
and also physician assistant. Upon arrival at the ER, patients usually undergo the first
sorting, anamnesis to help determine the nature and severity of the illness. Patients with
serious illness usually get more visite by a doctor than those whose illness is not so
severe. After initial assessment and treatment, the patient may be referred to the
hospital, stabilized and transferred to another hospital for various reasons, or excluded.
Most ER is open 24 hours, although at night the number of staff there will be less.
Areas of health care in the emergency room, covering the administrative area,
receptionist, triage, waiting area, resuscitation area, acute nurse area (patient not using
ambulance), Consultation area (for ambulance patients), staff workstations, such as an
interview room for the patient's family, the procedure room, plaster room, pharmacy,
ophthalmology or ENT, psychiatry, isolation room, decontamination room and teaching
area, supporting services such as storage areas, clean and dirty utensils, bathrooms,
linen trolley, mobile equipment, mobile X-Ray equipment bay, cleaning room, food and
beverage area, office and administration area, diagnostic area eg medical imaging
laboratory area, temporary emergency department or short-term observation ward or
short (optional), and the circulation space.
In the emergency room must have some tools for treatment. its tools include
TENSIMETER, STETOSKOP, BABY, ADULT, ADVANCED, SIGNAL, OXYGEN,
REGULATOR, NEBU TUBE, FLIGHT LIGHT, BRANCH, WHEEL CHAIR,
STERILISATOR, BED PATIENT, ECG, INFUSE STANDARD, TROMOL,
TERMOMETER.
