ISO 39001

number of serious and fatal accidents

Road traffic crash and other road traffic
incident investigation
• Procedure required to record, investigate and analyse RTC’s and
other incidents in which the organisation is involved, that lead (or
have the potential to lead) to death and serious injuries of road
users, in order to:
• Determine the underlying factors that it can control and/or influence,
that can be causing or contributing to the occurrence of those
incidents
• Identify the need for corrective action and any opportunities for
preventive action
