Anguila Advanced Fibre Termination (AFT)

The Anguila Advanced Fibre Termination
(Anguila AFT) consist of the same field
proven technology as the Anguila
Advanced Cable Termination (Anguila
ACT). Siemens has many years of
experience in design, production,
assembly and installation of umbilical
terminations and cable systems (jumpers)
for subsea installations; electrical,
hydraulic and fibre optic solutions.
The systems being oil filled and pressure
compensated down to 3000 meters of
water depth.
Siemens has delivered fibre optic
terminations to the following field:
Oseberg Sør, Oseberg J, Oseberg Delta,
Vestflanken, Ormen Lange, Tordis, Vega,
Gjøa, Troll, Ekofisk, Pazflor, Vigdis N E,
Visund S, Stjerne, Clov, Draugen, Fram H
and Laggan Tormore.

Features

The following features can be offered: Qualification of the termination is according to specification:
• Max. fibre optic lines to be terminated: 32pcs • STATOIL TR 1233
• Max. jumper exits from AFT without extra splitbox: 4pcs
(see picture)
• AFT’s designed for following working depths: 1200m,
1800m & 3000m
• Design lifetime: from 25 to 50 years
• Test pressure: Up to 450 barg
• Tested with wave length: 1310 nm, 1550 nm and 1625 nm
• Storage temperature: -40 °C to +70 °C
• Operation temperature: -4°C to + 25 °C
• Single mode and multi mode
