GEP session Session 6 - Collaborative learning

In this session, we are going to do a cooperative task. We are going to classify and search the
characteristics of animals
Short description of the session/s First, we are going to introduce the topic of classification watching two short videos on youtube.
After that, we have to create groups of 4 randomly. One strategy to make groups is moving

After watching it with subtitles they will have to explain to the other part of the same group what
have been watching. They will arrive to the conclusion that videos are similar.

Each member of group should decide which topic wants to investigate, then we are going to
create expert groups. The members who have decided find information about nutrition will go
together.

In each ‘expert group’, they are going to search information about that and create a mind map
only with their classification.

When they have finished, they will go back with their group and should explain what have
learned about the topic. The other members of the group will evaluate him using a rubric.

After the explanations. The group should create a map mind with all the information.

Finally, using prezi each will search information about the characteristics of one animal
explaining the main characteristics. The other groups will have to guess which animal is.

We are going to create groups of four using a dynamic activity. After that, we have to divide
each group in pairs.

Each pair have to watch video 1 and video 2 on youtube and answer the questions. After that
they have to discuss with the other pair what have watched.

After the explanation about each characteristic of animals each group should create a
new map mind using bubbl with all the information together.

When they had finised their mapmind they will have to create a PREZI and give some
characteristics about one animal, but they cannot tell which animal is. The other groups have
to adivinate.

They will create sentences using: ALWAYS, USUALLY, OFTEN, SOMETIMES, NEVER.
