INTRODUCTION

A. Significance of the Study

Prevention of harassment in the work place is both an international and national concern.
It is internationally agreed that sexual harassment is a form of gender discrimination and is recognized
as a violation of human rights. Sexual harassment at work can happen to any worker at any workplace;
offices, factories, plantations, and farms, small and large enterprises. (ilo.org)

B. Statement of the Problem

This research paper proposal is about “Sexual Harassment: an illegal act”. Specifically, it
aims to answer the following questions

3. What do we need to learn about sexual harassment?

4. What are the different types of sexual harassment?

5. Why is sexual harassment an illegal act?
