SWIMMING

Swimming is one of the traditional


disciplines of the modern Olympic
Games, carried out since the
inaugural edition in Athens 1896.
Originally, the swimming tests
were carried out in the sea or an
artificial lake. In 1908 the tests
were carried out in swimming
pool. In 1924 the rails were
incorporated, as well as the
Olympic length of 50 meters.

STYLES
FREE
The swimmer moves by alternate movements of feet and arms. It propels
underwater and recovers on the surface. It is turned two or three meters from the
wall.
BUTTERFLY

The swimmer moves the arms simultaneously and rotationally, entering


and exiting the water. To turn, touch the wall with your hands,
submerge and take momentum with your feet on the wall.
BACK

The swimmer performs rotational and alternative movements of the


arms. To turn, sink the head, lift both legs out of the water and take
momentum in the wall.
FATHOM

The swimmer opens and closes arms and legs symmetrically


and simultaneously without completely sinking the head. To
turn, touch the wall with your hands together and push
yourself.
