Materials
• Pierrot Yarns Tsubaki Cotton [100% cotton; 90 yds/82m per 1.41
oz./40g skein]; color #07 beige gray; 3 skeins [95g]
• 2.5mm (approx. US B or C) crochet hook or size necessary to
achieve gauge
• 105cm/41.34" length of ribbon (3.7cm/1.46" wide)
• 3m/3.28 yd length of teknorote cord (0.7mm/0.03" thick) to be
worked into brim for stiffness

Gauge
Gauge measured in a swatch 10cm/4" square.
• single crochet (US): 18.5 sts and 18.5 rows

Finished measurements
• head circumference 58cm/22.83"

Crochet Tips
Hat: Create magic ring and work in single crochet (US) according to schematic. Insert teknorote
cord into last two rounds, working single crochet stitches around the cord. (If stiff brim is desired,
insert cord a few rounds earlier.)

Ribbon: Wrap ribbon A around brim and fasten in place. Form ribbons B and C into bow and
attach to ribbon A.
