    1 Look at the map. You are in Kings Road in front of the hotel. Ask your
    partner for directions to the sports shop in Castle Street.

    PART 2
    2 Read the role cards and act out the dialogues. Follow the steps given.

    Roleplay 1

    Student A
    You have had an argument with your best friend. He/She broke one of your CDs and
    you were really annoyed. You’re not annoyed any more. You haven’t spoken to
    him/her yet but you want to say sorry. He/She’s not talking to you now.

    Student B: Ask about the problem.


    Student A: Explain your problem.
    Student B: Respond to the problem – (Suggest and advise).
    Student A: Accept advice.

    Student A
    Your friend is worried about something. Ask about the problem. Listen
    carefully and respond.
