Re: Ha Doan Nguyen- R. Gene Richter Scholarship Program

Dear Selection Committee,

I am writing this letter to lend my support for Ha Doan Nguyen in her application for the
R. Gene Richter Scholarship Program. Ms. Nguyen did a great job in my science course last
semester. She is an excellent student whose work and comprehension of the material kept her at
the top of the class. Science can be quite challenging for non-science majors but Ha Doan
performed wonderfully.
Ms. Nguyen is a community-conscious young woman. While maintaining her standings
on UNCG’s Dean and Chancellor’s Lists, she participated in the creation of and service to the
Vietnamese Student Association. Ha Doan is a smart, kind, and respectful young woman. Your
scholarship could not be presented to a more deserving person. Feel free to contact me with any
