Superfine Epoxy-Cement Sealing Mortar

Description Normal setting, 3 component, epoxy-modified cementitious sealing mortar

Construction

Uses „ As sealing mortar (0.5 – 2.0 mm) on concrete, mortar, stone.

„ For repairs to fair faced concrete in chemically aggressive environment.
„ As pore sealer on horizontal and vertical surfaces.
„ As temporary moisture barrier

Advantages „ An ideal surface preparation for the subsequent application of Sika epoxy
products.
„ Minimum delays to follow-up applications of Sika epoxy products.
„ Fast and easy to apply.
„ Waterproof.
„ Permeable to water vapour (allows substrate to “breathe”).
„ Excellent adhesion to dry or damp concrete.
„ Suitable for interior and exterior use.
„ Solvent-free.

Coverage Approx. 2.0 kg/m2 for 1 mm layer thickness.

Layer thickness: min. 0.5 mm, max. 3 mm,
Material consumption depending on substrate conditions.
Instruction for Use
Surface Preparation Concrete or mortar substrate must be sound, free from loose particles, dust and
dirt, oil, or wax containing layers, as well as laitance must be completely removed.
Substrate must be pre-wetted to saturated surface dry condition (no standing
water).

Mixing Add component A SikaRepair EpoCem Module to component B SikaRepair

EpoCem Module, shake well for approx. 30 seconds.
Pour binder (comp. A+B) SikaRepair EpoCem Module into mixing vessel, add
Component C Sikagard 720 EpoCem and mix thoroughly with suitable low-speed
electric mixer for 3 minutes.

Application By brush, spatula or trowel to moist substrate.

It is not permitted to use additional water, which would disturb the surface
finish and cause discoloration.
Freshly applied Sikagard 720 EpoCem must be protected from rain for 24 hours.

Cleaning Mixing and application tools must be cleaned with water.

Hardened material can only be mechanically removed.

Caution Sikagard 720 EpoCem can produce skin rashes (dermatose). Wear protective
clothing (gloves, goggles) and use barrier cream on hands. If eyes comes into
contact with material, immediately rinse thoroughly with warm, clean water and
consult physician.

Single components can contaminate water and must therefore be properly

disposed of. Do not pour into sewer, water or soil.
