TRIBAL COVENANT OF CHRIST  We are Christ’s Ambassadors

AMBASSADOR, Inc. (TCCAI) Ambassador:

“A diplomatic agent of the highest rank accredited to a
“Strengthening our Commitment for a Common Purpose” foreign government or sovereign as the resident
representative of his or her own government or sovereign
or appointed for a special and often temporary diplomatic
What is our common purpose? assignment… as a messenger”
How are we going to Strengthen our Commitment? Prof’s challenge: There are two things that I’m going to admire you: (1) If
Scripture - Philippians 3:7-17 we are going to meet as opposing counsels in court; (2) If you are going to
be a foreign Diplomat.
 7 But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.
 8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of
the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the An Ambassador is the mouthpiece of the leader of a foreign government. Of
loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, course, he/she should be well oriented of his/her own government and the
plans of the government being represented.
 9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of

the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the
righteousness which is of God by faith: We, AS AMBASSADORS OF CHRIST, should Excel in the knowledge of Christ.
 10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the So that we will become Bold, Confident and Courageous in telling the world

1. MUST BE A CITIZEN OF HEAVEN
(1st Requirement to be Christ’s Ambassador)
How to acquire Heaven Citizenship? By the power of Blood.
Jus sanguinis (Latin: right of blood)
 is a principle of nationality law by which citizenship is
not determined by place of birth but by having one or
both parents who are citizens of the state.
The GOOD NEWS is that we are Citizens of Heaven by Blood. By Virtue
of Jus Sanguinis.
1 Peter 1:18-20 (KJV)
“18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with
corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain
conversation received by tradition from your fathers; 19 But
with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without
blemish and without spot.”
How come?
How in the world did the Blood of Jesus made us Citizens of Heaven?
We have to extract the Blood of the Lamb from the life and faith of Father
Abraham.
Galatians 3:13-14,29 (KJV)
13 But Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the
law. When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the
curse for our wrongdoing. For it is written in the Scriptures,
“Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.” 14 Through Christ
Jesus, God has blessed the Gentiles with the same blessing he
promised to Abraham, so that we who are believers might
receive the promised Holy Spirit through faith… 29 And now
that you belong to Christ, you are the true children of
Abraham. You are his heirs, and God’s promise to
Abraham belongs to you.

We are Children of Abraham through the Blood of Jesus.
There are 2 requirements for the fulfillment of the Promise of God to
Abraham.
1. One and Only Son
2 And he said, Take now thy son, THINE ONLY SON Isaac,
whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah;
and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the
mountains which I will tell thee of. (Genesis 22:2, KJV)
2. Blood of the Lamb
7 And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My
father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold
the fire and the wood: but WHERE IS THE LAMB for a
burnt offering? 8 And Abraham said, My son, GOD WILL
PROVIDE HIMSELF A LAMB for a burnt offering: so they
went both of them together. (Genesis 22:7-8, KJV)
However, Isaac, the one and only son, was not offered as a Sacrifice.
Considering that Abraham was already more than 100 years old and it
would almost be impossible to beget a child again. God was merely testing
the Faith of Abraham. Instead of a Lamb, what appeared was a Ram.
A Lamb is required in order to complete the course.
The question is where is the Lamb?
The question was answered by John the Baptist:
“36 And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the
Lamb of God!” (John 1:36, KJV)
Indeed! God have provided Himself a Lamb, not a Ram.
BE FOUND IN CHRIST!
“I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge
of Christ Jesus my Lord … and BE FOUND IN HIM (CHRIST),
not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but
that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness
which is of God by faith.” (Philippians 3:8-9, KJV)
The fact that we are all here, there is no doubt that we are already FOUND
IN CHRIST.

Let’s take a look at the Parable of the Prodigal Son. The Older brother in the Parable of the Prodigal Son considered himself as a
SLAVE and not a SON. He never realized that EVERYTHING the Father had,
“his father said to the servants, ‘Quick! Bring the finest robe in the

The Older Brother treated himself as a SLAVE, NOT A SON. a. POSSESSION through CHRIST
 ROBE: We are Clothed with power from on High
“The older brother was angry and wouldn’t go in. His father came out
and begged him, but he replied, ‘ALL THESE YEARS I’VE SLAVED FOR All These Years I’ve Slaved For You and never once refused to do a

 Now that we belong to Christ, we are the true children of Abraham.
We are his heirs, and God’s promise to Abraham BELONGS TO US. Ephesians 1:11, “Because of Christ, WE HAVE RECEIVED AN INHERITANCE
(See Galatians 3:29) from God, for HE CHOSE US FROM THE BEGINNING, and all things happen
just as HE DECIDED LONG AGO.”
 Before God laid the foundations of the world, God had CHOSEN us to

 PURPOSE, and power from on high.” (Luke 24:49, Young’s Translation),
 PROMISE. Jesus PROMISED the HOLY SPIRIT to be our HELPER, TEACHER,
‘Quick! Bring the finest ROBE in the house and put it on him. Get a DEFENDER, GUARDIAN, etc… (See John 16:7-10)

1. Servant as an Employee (SLAVE) You have been CLOTHED with POWER and ABILITY!
2. Serving as a Partner (SON) You are WELL ABLE,

You Can Do All Things as empowered by the Holy Spirit!
The HOLY SPIRIT will TEACH you in ALL THINGS. So don’t leave your house
without your ROBE. The HOLY SPIRIT serves as your SIGNAL and
TRANSMITTER to KNOW the WISDOM of GOD.
 It is your PASSWORD to unlock the MYSTERIES of God’s Plan for you.
 It was GIVEN, so you might KNOW the THINGS that were FREELY
GIVEN to you.”
DISCOVER what you have! Don’t be like the “Older Brother”.
 You are full of potential.
b. POSITION in CHRIST
 RING: Authority and Dominion
“26And God said , Let us make man in our image, after our
likeness: and let them have DOMINION… over all the earth…
28And God BLESSED them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful ,
and multiply , and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have
DOMINION… upon the earth.” (Genesis 1:26,28, NLT)
 You are CREATED in the LIKENESS of God!
 You are BLESSED and cannot be cursed!
 Wherever you go, as Christ’s Ambassadors, you are
VICTORIOUS.
 Whatever you TOUCH will PROSPER.
SEATED in the RIGHT HAND of God in CHRIST.
In verse 22 of Luke 15, “Get a RING for his finger!” The Ring can be pictured
in the life of Joseph the Dreamer.
 He Suffered in Slavery
 He was Considered Dead to his Brothers and Presumed Dead to his
Parents
 BUT we can see his Glorious “Resurrection” in the eyes of his
brothers.
Let’s see what happened in Genesis 41:41-44, NLT:
41 Pharaoh
said to Joseph, “I hereby put you in charge of the
entire land of Egypt.” 42 Then Pharaoh removed his signet
ring from his hand and placed it on Joseph’s finger. He
dressed him in fine linen clothing and hung a gold chain
around his neck. 43 Then he had Joseph ride in the chariot

reserved for his second-in-command. And wherever Joseph
went, the command was shouted, “Kneel down!” So
Pharaoh put Joseph in charge of all Egypt. 44 And Pharaoh
said to him, “I am Pharaoh, but no one will lift a hand or
foot in the entire land of Egypt without your approval.”
Now that you are in Christ, whatever you BIND on earth shall be bound in
HEAVEN. Whatever you DECLARE, it will come to PASS. The DECISION is all
yours. You have the POWER to BLESS or to CURSE your FUTURE.”
 It’s time to CAST OUT the SLAVE MENTALITY.
 Cast Out The Inferiority Complex, The Negative Believing, Negative
Thinking And Negative Speaking’!
 You shall be the HEAD not the TAIL. You should be ABOVE and not
BENEATH!
“21Now he is FAR ABOVE any ruler or authority or power or
leader or anything else in this world or in the world to come.
22And God has PUT ALL THINGS UNDER THE AUTHORITY
of CHRIST, and He gave Him this AUTHORITY FOR THE
BENEFIT of the church.” (Ephesians 1:21-22, NLT)
The AUTHORITY is not for our OWN BENEFIT but for our COMMON
PURPOSE.
c. PURPOSE for CHRIST
 We will use the SANDAL in Bringing the Good News to All
Nations as Christ’s Ambassadors.
Remember the Full Armor of God in the Book of Ephesians, Chapter 6? In
verse 15, it reveals the use of the sandal, it says:
“Your feet sandaled with readiness for the gospel
of peace.” (HCSB)
You are no longer a Slave of sin.
You have been SAVED and set free from the power of sin.
You should no longer work for your SALVATION, it is FINISHED!
As Christ’s Ambassador:
 You are a BLESSING to others!
 You are a LIVING TESTIMONY!
 You COMFORT the BROKEN-HEARTED.
 You INSPIRE and BRING GOOD NEWS to the POOR/HOPELESS.

Again:
God reintroduced the PLAN to Noah after the flood.
“If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and
heirs according to the promise.” (Galatians 3:29, NIV)
Genesis 9:1,7, KJV:
The Promise is an IRREVOCABLE COVENANT. “1God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be

God will never Forget His COVENANT even to the ages to come. God reiterated the PLAN to Abraham

“2 And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will
multiply thee exceedingly.

In the Book of Exodus, it shows us that there was a new a new king arose
who did not know Joseph. (See Exodus 1:8) 6 And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make

 Joseph who was very close to the former Pharaoh was dead. The new
Pharaoh did not recognize the vital role of the prosperity of Egypt.
 The Israelites might have been thinking, “Oh no, Joseph is dead. What To sum the above-cited Provisions of God’s Covenant, God’s Plan for us is

PRINCIPALITIES and KINGDOMS.
It is the Original Plan of God.

3. GOOD MORAL CHARACTER
(3rd Requirement to be Christ’s Ambassador)
(Righteousness Through The FAITH OF CHRIST)
We Cannot Represent God on Earth if we don’t possess Good Moral
Character.
We must be created in the Image of God.
Let us qualify the term “Image of God” because it is being overused and
misused.
Yes, Originally, Man was created in the Image of God, but after Adam sinned,
Man lost that image. The “Image of God” has to be restored through Christ.
Because “Christ is the Visible Image of the invisible God.” (Colossians 1:15)
Put on your NEW NATURE, created to be like God—truly
righteous and holy. (Ephesians 4:24, NLT)
 We saw the Living God through Christ
 Now, let people see Christ Through our lives.
But please remember that the FALL of Lucifer who is now called Satan was
because he want to be “like God” and even higher than God.
 In our case, we are Created to be like God, but limited to being
“Righteous and Holy” .
 Because it is only through Christ that we are Righteous and Holy.
Without Christ, we are nothing.
 We can never become Righteous and Holy without Christ.
Going back to the Scripture, Philippians 3:9-10:
“9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of Jesus opened the Gateway to Heaven.

Notice, the scripture says, “The Faith of Christ”
 It is the Faith of Christ, not our own faith, that leads to Righteousness.

 Christ Believes in us, He has Faith in you. This is the very reason why
he asked the Father to send the Holy Spirit us our HELPER, to teach us
ALL THINGS so that we may know what God has freely given to us.
 The Holy Spirit is the “Power from on High” which was promised by
Christ after his Resurrection and before He ascended.
Overview of his Suffering, Death and Resurrection.
“That I may know him, and the power of his RESURRECTION,
and the fellowship of his SUFFERINGS, being made
conformable unto his DEATH.” (Philippians 3:10, KJV)
a. POWER OF CHRIST’S RESURRECTION
The Penalty of Sin is Death
 The Penalty of Sin is Death (Romans 6:23) and Death is the Last
enemy to be Destroyed (1 Corinthians 15:26).
 The Resurrection of Christ has defeated the Penalty of sin which
we inherited from Adam.
 The Victory of Christ’s Resurrection means God has put all
things under his authority (1 Corinthians 15:26) so that Man
will have Dominion over all creation.
 And as long as we belong to Christ, we unstoppable. Satan has
no more power over us.
“Death” means separation from the Glory of God. That’s why when Adam
sinned, they were exiled from the Garden of Eden.
 From then on, they needed various kinds of offerings in order to
stay connected to God.
 Various Kinds of Religions were formed in order to reach God.
The Good News is that Jesus served as the Perfect and Complete offering.
Now, being new creations, created in the Image of God, Righteous and Holy,

b. FELLOWSHIP OF HIS SUFFERINGS
Do we need to suffer like what Jesus Suffered in the hands of the Roman “Death” as separation from the Glory of God.
Soldiers in order for us to Know Christ? Do you want that kind of suffering?
The Fellowship of Christ’s Suffering was made clear by the Apostle Peter.
We find “suffering” (using Easy-to-Read Version) as:
 When we Stop Sinning (1 Peter 4:1).
“Christ suffered while he was in his body. So you should
strengthen yourselves with the same kind of thinking Christ
had. The one who ACCEPTS SUFFERING in this life has
clearly decided to STOP SINNING.”
 When our Faith is Tested (1 Peter 4:12-13).
“Don’t be surprised at the painful things that you are now
suffering, which are TESTING YOUR FAITH. Don’t think that
something strange is happening to you. But you should be
happy that you are sharing in Christ’s sufferings. You will be
happy and full of joy when Christ shows his glory.”
 Emotional Persecution (1 Peter 4:14-16).
“When
people say bad things to you because you follow
Christ, consider it a blessing. When that happens, it shows that
God’s Spirit, the Spirit of glory, is with you. You may suffer, but
don’t let it be because you murder, steal, make trouble, or try to
control other people’s lives. But if you suffer because you are
a “Christ-follower,” DON’T BE ASHAMED. You should praise
God for that name.”
We share the Suffering of Christ if we are doing Good in His name.
“So if GOD WANTS YOU TO SUFFER, you should trust your
lives to him. He is the one who made you, and YOU CAN TRUST
HIM. SO CONTINUE TO DO GOOD.” (1 Peter 4:19, ERV)
When we keep on Doing Good for Christ’s sake, people will witness how
Good our God is in our lives.

c. CONFORMABLE UNTO HIS DEATH.
 When Jesus cried “My God, my God, Why have you forsaken me?”
means Jesus was SEPARATED from God the Father so that we will
be RECONCILED with God.
“Death” as Free from Sin.
 “Since we have been united with him in his death, we will also be
raised to life as he was. We know that our old sinful selves were
crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in our lives. We
are no longer slaves to sin. For when we died with Christ we were
set free from the power of sin. And since we died with Christ, we
know we will also live with him.” (Romans 6:5-7, NLT)
 So you also should CONSIDER YOURSELVES TO BE DEAD to the
power of sin and alive to God through Christ Jesus. (Romans 6:11,
NLT)
After “Death” we shall have ETERNAL LIFE.
“Now being MADE FREE FROM SIN, and become servants to
God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

Eternal Life Begins Now.
 Eternal Life Begins the moment we were SAVED and SET FREE from
the Power of Sin, then RECONCILED with GOD.
What is Eternal Life?
 It simply means Knowledge of Christ.
“And this is ETERNAL LIFE, that they MAY KNOW YOU, the only true
God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.” (John 17:3, NKJV)
 This is in conformity with our Scripture.
“That I MAY KNOW HIM, and the power of his Resurrection, and the
fellowship of his Sufferings, being made conformable unto his Death.”
(Philippians 3:10, KJV)
Don’t wait until you die before you experience Eternal Life. Start
enjoying it now.
Eternal life is simply the opposite of Earthly life.

STRENGTHENING OUR COMMITMENT
Philippians 3:13
“Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I
do, FORGETTING THOSE THINGS WHICH ARE BEHIND, and reaching
forth unto those things which are before.”
 We need to forget the things that may affect our commitment.
 We need to stay FOCUSED towards the Goal (Illustration: the story
of Marathon).
What are the things to forget?
1. SINS that may slow us down
2. DISTRACTIONS that are Irrelevant to our Goal.
3. Our FAILURES that hinders us from Pursuing our purpose.
 Sometime, our failures may cause fear which may keep us from
trying again or may prevent us from discovering new things or new
abilities and talents.
4. Our SUCCESS that keeps us from attaining our Full Potential.
 Our achievements may cause us to become proud which may
prevent us from leveling up.
What are the things to forget?
The Major factor that we need to eliminate is the “Older Brother or Cain
Syndrome”.
 The syndrome refers to those attitude that may:
 Delay, hinder us in accomplishing our Purpose.
 Weaken our faith along the way towards our Goal.
In the example of the Great Apostle Paul, there is Discontentment. In spite THE CAIN SYNDROME
of his achievements, he still wanted to KEEP GROWING IN GRACE, being Cain was the First Born Son. That’s why Adam and eve might have thought
focused of the Prize.
Now, if we want to keep growing, we need to Cast Away the “Older Brother Penalty of Sin.
Syndrome” before we press toward the mark for the Prize.

THE OLDER BROTHER SYNDROME.
 Remember the Older brother of the Prodigal Son and Cain?
1. The Older brother of the Prodigal Son
 He served his father as a slave.
 He did not claim his inheritance.
2. Cain’s Pride (Genesis 4:6-7)
Then the LORD said to Cain, “Why are you angry? Why is your
face downcast? 7 If you do what is right, will you not be
accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is
crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you
must rule over it.”
 Instead of repentance, Cain refused to do what is right. So sin has
overpowered him which motivated him to kill his own brother Abel.
The Lord said to Cain, "Where is your brother Abel?" "I don’t know,"
he replied. "Am I my brother’s keeper?" (Genesis 4:9)
 God was giving him the opportunity to Confess his sin and ask
for forgiveness.
 God was waiting for him to “plead guilty”.
Now you are under a curse and driven from the ground,
which opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from
your hand. When you work the ground, it will no longer yield
its crops for you. You will be a restless WANDERER on
earth." (Genesis 4:11-12, NIV)
WANDERER= Living without Purpose or Mission in life.
that he is the Promised Deliverer who will save them from the Curse and
Cain might have thought that he already attained perfection because he was
offering the best of his crops.
 He did not realize that the ground was cursed.

“CURSED IS THE GROUND because of you; through painful toil you
will eat food from it all the days of your life.” (Genesis 3:17, KJV)
 The Blood of a Lamb is the only Qualified as Offering.
1. Cain was half-hearted towards God
 He knew God, but the problem was he never took the time to
cultivate his relationship with his heavenly Father. He never
diligently desired to EXCELL IN THE KNOWLEDGE OF CHRIST and
never tried to find out what GOD WANTS HIM TO DO.
2. Cain’s Decision was based on His own wisdom.
 He did things that he thought was right in OWN EYES but it wasn’t Our purpose is called “COMMON” because it has to be collectively carried
right in the EYES OF GOD. We can all fall into this trap of the enemy out.
if we do not Spend Time in EXCELLING IN THE KNOWLEDGE OF
CHRIST.
3. Cain did not follow the PLAN of God.
 Cain, being a farmer, offered God the best fruit from his own crop.
Instead of obtaining the product from his brother’s flock, Cain
wanted to keep everything WITHIN HIS CONTROL.
4. Cain became slave by his own sins.
 He didn’t repent. God was waiting for him to ask for forgiveness.
(“Where is your Brother?”)
 Every time we fail to listen and obey GOD’S WILL, we are opening
the door to sin. If we fail to rule over sin, sin will rule over us. (See
Genesis 4:7)
5. Cain was Un-teachable and was easily offended.
 Sometimes, as in Cain’s case, people get angry when they are being
rebuked. Instead of turning back, they keep on going because they
are OFFENDED by the CORRECTIVE WORDS.
 God tried to correct Cain, but instead of responding to the WILL OF
GOD, Cain was offended.
6. Cain hated his brother
 Cain didn’t listen to the voice or WILL OF GOD. Evil has taken root in
his heart and he resented his brother, thinking Abel was the cause
to all his problems and frustrations.
7. Cain was running away from God

 Instead of making things right, forgetting what is behind, he closed
his heart and ran away.
 How to Avoid the “Older Brother/Cain Syndrome”?
 Philippians 3:17
 Brethren, BE FOLLOWERS TOGETHER of me, and mark them
which walk so as ye have us for an ensample.
BE FOLLOWERS TOGETHER
“Common” is defined as:
 belonging equally to, or shared alike by, two or more persons:
 pertaining or belonging equally to an entire community or nation:
 joint; united:
We cannot accomplish our common purpose if we are working all ALONE.
1. We Need a Helper
2. We Need to work Together as a Team
1. ANOTHER HELPER
Who is that Helper?
Then the LORD God said, “It is not good for the man to be
alone. I will make a HELPER who is just right for him.”
(Genesis 2:18, KJV)
 Eve did not serve her purpose as a Helper, that’s why when
Jesus came, He promised another HELPER. A Perfect,
Complete and Suitable Helper.
“And I will pray the Father, and He will give you ANOTHER
HELPER, that He may abide with you forever the Spirit of
truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees
Him nor knows Him; but YOU KNOW HIM, for He dwells with
you and will be in you.” (John 14:16-17, NKJV)
 Only those who have the “Knowledge of Christ” may
Claim the Privilege of having “Another Helper”.

“The Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My  Do you agree that you have authority and dominion over

 ALL THINGS, everything under the sun.
 The Holy Spirit will even teach us to Repent, unlike
Cain.
 The Holy Spirit will help us see Visions, and teach
instructions on how to accomplish our Common
Purpose.
“And, lo, I do send the PROMISE of my Father upon you, but
ye – ABIDE ye IN THE CITY of Jerusalem till ye be
CLOTHED with power from on high.” (Luke 24:49,
Young’s Translation),

 The Holy Spirit gives us power and strength to overcome and defeat
anything that may stop us in accomplishing our purpose.

 Never Get Out without your “Clothing”

2. WORKING TOGETHER AS A TEAM

We are all parts of the Body of Christ. Everyone has his/her own
use regardless of age, experience in the ministry, training and
talent (See 1 Corinthians 12:12-31). Even the tiniest part is
useful. Even the “Kikit”.
 That’s why we should not make disciples of our own, but
disciples of Jesus Christ.
 We might have diverse Gifts but we are united by the
Holy Spirit which binds us together.

“Can two walk together except they be agreed?” (Amos 3:3)

 Do you agree that you are all Ambassadors of Christ?
 Do you agree that you have been clothed with Power
from on High?
 Do you agree that you have power to overcome sin?
