9 Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
10 1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 15.2-1409.1 as follows:
11 § 15.2-1409.1. Establishment of sanctuary policies prohibited.
12 No locality shall adopt any ordinance, procedure, or policy that restricts the enforcement of federal
13 immigration laws to less than the full extent permitted by federal law.
14 [ The General Assembly shall reduce state funding to the extent permitted by state and federal law to
15 any locality found to have violated the provisions of this section. ]
